New Interns - Summer 2018

We welcomed three new interns to Change is Simple this month! We are excited to have their energy and talents to help with our many summer activities and to help support our program. Our mentors are a huge and important part of our work and the positive impact on, and connection with the kids is somethings we can truly feel through our work in the classroom, and beyond. Meet them below:

Ryan Dondero ::  I’m from Long Island, New York. I am currently approaching my fourth year as Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University. The reason I chose Change is Simple is because I want to take a different direction with my life and test out the environmental education field, while also trying to make better choices in my day to day life. My family phased out a lot of plastic waste a few years ago, such as not buying plastic water bottles anymore. I want to learn from this co-op how to become more environmentally friendly, and be influenced by like minded people who share the same goal. Oh, and I love kids.

Ethan Janis ::  am 24 years old and I hail from Foster Rhode Island. I graduated from Keene State College in 2016 with a degree in History and Environmental Science. Upon graduating from college, I realized my passion for working with children and teaching them about the importance of the natural world and our impact on it. Change Is Simple is the perfect organization to get me into the field of environmental education and I am stoked to be part of it!

Carlos Benavides! I am a physics major at Northeastern University originally from Jefferson Township, New Jersey. I’m at Change Is Simple because I have a passion for teaching. I want to learn how to educate people in and out of the classroom about the world and how they can make an impact!
