Adventures, Creations & Cooking @ Camp Paradise - week long program

Change is Simple is empowering youth to be advocates for better health, stronger communities, and a sustainable planet. Each day at Camp Paradise, your child will spend lots of time outside, use their imagination- and their hands, get plenty of exercise, learn about our world, and make new friends. They will come home with a story about their day, a creation and a recipe. They’ll be having a blast without even realizing that they are learning about the planet and sustainability. Sign up for a week of experiences that your kids will always remember. Check the Change is Simple Facebook page for an album of last year’s camp! This 5-day program is tucked away in the natural beauty of Camp Paradise and will have children eager to come back to play, discover, and learn. Each day incorporates three key elements that will make for an unforgettable week:
- ADVENTURE: a hands-on discovery adventure with environmental scientists, learning about nature
- CREATION: a building project for the creator, artist or engineer living in all kids
- COOKING: a fun cooking class to create a healthy snack
Participants will explore and learn about current, relevant environmental topics from foods to animals and even renewable energy! Kids will use scientific tools, complete innovative 21st century building projects, and learn fun wilderness survival skills, cooking, yoga and of course gym games! Kids will be inside and outside, and typically grouped by age to ensure equal participation.
