Meet our College student mentors

Change is Simple has three amazing spring 2024 interns! Read below about the passion behind their work.

Katelyn (Left)

Katelyn is a second-year student at Northeastern University studying Marine Biology with a strong passion for teaching others. She loves reading, baking, and discovering new music. She grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York, and during high school, discovered her passion for chemistry and biology through Science Olympiad. She also played violin for eight years and especially loved playing at winter events. Katelyn previously worked as a camp counselor and volunteered at Vassar observatory. She hopes to make a positive impact on young students and help them learn to care about the environment!

Megan (Middle)

Megan hails from Long Island, New York and is pursuing a degree in Marine Biology at Northeastern University with the hopes of making the ocean a healthier place . She grew up playing basketball and fell in love with teaching by coaching the sport in her community league. In her free time, she loves to read fantasy novels and do yoga in green spaces. Megan can't wait to bridge her passions this semester through environmental education at Change is Simple!

Nina (Right)

Nina is a third year student at Northeastern University studying economics with minors in architectural design and architectural & urban history, and is a great lover of music and board games. Raised in Boulder, Colorado, she grew up with a deep appreciation for the mountains and the nature around her, and loves to go hiking, skiing, and trail running. In the past Nina has worked as a Kumon tutor and as a camp counselor and is excited to practice her skills teaching and working with children, all while building a brighter environmental future with Change is Simple!
