Inflatable Stand-Up Paddle Board FAQ

How much do I need to inflate the paddle board before use?

Please inflate your paddle board to 12 PSI. The pump will not register a PSI below 10, so don’t worry if the meter isn’t moving at first while you pump/inflate your board.

I have an electric pump. Can I use that to inflate my iSUP?

These paddle boards have a Halkey-Roberts valve, so as long as your pump has that fitting feel free to use an electric pump.

Do I need to use the leash?

No, but it is safer and helps prevent lost boards!

I am/have a beginner or child.  Can I use this type of paddle board?

Yes! These paddle boards are simple to use, and stable — perfect for children or beginners!

How do I attach both pieces of the paddle?

Use your thumb to press the small silver button down on the lower part of the paddle and slide the two pieces together. When you hear a click and see the button lock in the hole on the top piece of the paddle, you’re all set! Then use the clasp to adjust for height. View a full tutorial here.

Note: The paddle can detach into three pieces, but you may receive them in two. Don’t worry if yours detaches into three!

How do I deflate the paddle board?

To deflate your paddle board, unscrew the valve cover and press down on the grey tab. While pressing the tab, twist towards the left. Air will initially flow out rapidly and loudly, but once you’ve spun the tab you can release and it will deflate on its own. Once most of the air has been released, roll the board from front to back to push out the remaining air. Then turn the grey tab inside the valve back to the right.

How do I attach the fin?

First, lift the rear latch upward to the top of its range (about ¾ of an inch). Insert the front edge of the fin into the front of the fin box, then push the rear of the fin down into the fin box. Lastly push the rear latch back down.  View the tutorial here @ 2:00 minutes.

How do I properly store the paddle board?

When packing, roll the paddle board up (valve side first), secure with the cinch strap, place in the bag. Do not store directly in the sun or in a hot vehicle.
